Birchnuts are a plantable food item.
They're mainly used to grow Birchnut Trees, though they can be eaten by players when cooked.
Obtaining[]
Here's a list of every possible way to obtain Birchnuts:
- Chopping down a Birchnut Tree (x0-2 based on stage and its leaves)
- Chopping down a Birchnut Tree (Poisonous) (x3)
- Destroying a Winter's Feast Tree with a Birchnut Sapling planted inside (x1)
- Chopping down a Winter's Feast Tree with a Birchnut Tree planted inside (x0-2 based on stage)
- Killing a Birchnutter while it's not on fire (40%)
- Possible drop from a Catcoon vomiting (x1)
Food[]
Birchnuts' Food type is Raw, meaning the following Mobs are able to eat them: Bunnyman, Gobbler, Pig Guard and Pig Man.
However, Playable Characters can't eat them.
Usage[]
Birchnuts can be planted into Birchnut Saplings on any Turf that isn't Cobblestones, Rocky Turf, Wooden Flooring, Checkered Flooring, Carpeted Flooring, Scaled Flooring or Cave Rock Turf. They take 150-300 seconds to grow to the next stage.
They can also be planted in a Festive Tree Planter. They take 120-180 seconds to grow to the next stage.
When cooked, Birchnuts will turn into Roasted Birchnuts.
Haunting[]

When haunted by a Player Ghost, Birchnuts will be launched away from it.
Additional notes[]
Birchnuts can be given to Catcoons to befriend them. However, they will try to play with or steal them when left on the ground.
